Will a hydro rear bolt up?

Here's where you can post your Cub Cadet based specials. Actually, if it's cool and not Cub based, post it anyway!

Will a hydro rear bolt up?

Post by BillS »

I have a CC 102 used as a stock puller that needs a new rear differential carrier. I can get a complete hydro rear differential locally if it will work. Anyone know if it will bolt up to the 102 manual transmission?

I use PartsTree.com as a parts lookup reference (and ocassionally order from them to ease my conscience) and it looks to me like the gear and hydro drive rears are an exact match. I used your 102 and a 149 as models. ;)

Bill,
The whole rearend won't work. You can take the carrier out of the hydro and put it in your gear drive.

If you are lucky, the hydro may be from a later tractor and have the heavier carrier like the one on the right in this photo;
