I have 128 with a tiller, I could not lift tiller with one hand so I bought a 2000 lb. winch from Harbor Freight for $50, and mounted on the front of tractor, used a short piece of angle iron on where the mower deck would have attached for different angle. I ran the winch cable thru a pulley on the end of this angle iron to where the mower deck mounted in front and secured it there. now the winch has an easier pull, plus does not lift as fast as direct.

Nifty... So, when you press on the button (at the top of the lift arm), it starts/engages the winch?

This sure sounds like a fun way of lifting :D . I would be careful though, there r roll pins in the rockshaft u r lifting on that could snap if u r not very light on the trigger. I think cub had a spring assist for that as well. I would like to get a helper spring for my 127. Dave

The winch comes with a rocker switch on extension wire for in and out. I put a hose clamp on lock button on lift handle so latch is disengaged.
I put a piece of tape on the cable so I know when tiller is almost full lift just before tape gets to roller.
