982 grill and grill shell

Postby skinnedfingers » Mon Jan 16, 2017 11:29 am

I just purchased a 982 CC that has had rough treatment. The grill and grill shell are toast. I was wondering if all the 82 series were the same or are the all different by model

All 82 series grills and grill shells are the same , as are also the ones on the yellow and white models like the 1810 , 1811 , etc .

The only difference is that the 982's had a extra screen attached to the grill with muffler cutouts at the bottom for the twin Onan exhaust .

A couple of my 982's have grills off of other 82 models like the 582 , 682 or 782 so they will work .

I see a lot of cub cadets while going down the tracks , its a shame I can't pull over and ask about them .
