Hey folks, I'm very new to Cub Cadets. I've had a model 100 for about a month. The guy who sold it says that he bought it new. He seems honest enough, but I don't know about "all original" as he put it. Anyway, I had the starter/gen rebuilt because it turned slowly. The rebuilder said the brushes, bearings, and armature were all original. Apparently the guy who owned it filled the body of the unit with grease, which explains the slow turns! I know the engine had been rebuilt this past Spring by a local machine shop and it runs perfect with lots of torque. Looking forward to putting (slowly) my Model 102 together. I have lots of stupid questions.

Welcome to the sickness Kenric.
Dad always said there's no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid answers.
That being said, there's a bunch of real knowledgable folk on here with good answers to any question.
