New guy from PA here. I just purchased a 1650 which I hope to get running, work the bugs out and then hopefully fully restore. I am a welder by trade, but have been a Production supervisor for the past 30 years or so. I keep my welding skills brushed up by tinkering in the garage. I've always wanted one of these "garden" tractors that were heavy enough to add attachments to and desire to fabricate some of my own attachments (plow, FEL etc). First order of business is to get this thing running. The guy I got it from said "well....it ran last year, but now it's not getting spark..." So, of course there were many things I couldn't check such as the Hydrostatic drive or the hydraulics...I only paid "a buck forty" for it so, it wasn't really much of a risk as I can probably get that out of the mower deck. Anyway, I'm sure I'll have questions and I'll thank you all in advance for helping a noob out...Have a fantastic day!

Nice tractor! Welcome to the club. Post some pictures.
I'm fixing up a 1650 this summer.... probably fall....and most likely into winter....lol. I did some welding a couple weeks ago on the trunion under the fender pan. I guess I should have had a mig...but I only have a stick. I got it done.... just took a little longer....lol

My son has a 1650 which I overhauled for him more than 5 years ago. It dose not vibrate like people say most of them do. It runs smoother than my 147. It has been a good tractor for him. Adapted a potato ***** from my Rototiller and that has worked great digging his potatoes. Sure beats digging them with a fork!
