Power steering on my 149 loader

Post by tifnbrian »

I'm starting to put power steering on my 149 and would like to eliminate the entire hydro lift cylinder and controls in order to make more room for the new steering shaft and new lines. Now my question is will I run into any problems using the lines directly out of the transmission and going to the 4 port steering box ? (It is off of a John Deere btw) thanks

Don't know.....But this is a nice picture of how Cub did power steering. Sam posted this pic last week in another thread about an 1872 that power steering was not working.

I say cap off the aux port and run it! Of course the T would need to be eliminated.

I have a power steering setup from a 1862 in my 882 diesel loader... same thing lift cylinder and control valve delete. I have a cap on my AUX... and all is well
On the 4 port steering you wont have the aux.
