Vredestein tire question

Post by Dbaumanjr »

On the old site there was mention of the best/cheapest place to order Vredestein V61 tires. I didn't print or download that info then.
So was wondering where that was again? It seems the place was in New York(City?). Or maybe there are other/better vendors?
Anyone that can provide the link/links, I (and I'm sure others) would appreciate it.
I know that Miller Tire has them, and they're close by, but they were a bit high priced compared to other places as I recall.

I got some Vredestein (not V61's but some tri ribs) at tiresfromeurope.com.
They had really good prices and were easy to deal with.

I think the place you are talking about is; Tire place of Queens ph 718-326-1104 or 917-273-1901. I don't know if they have a website.

Darryl, I called them all when I was looking for a set, and Tire Unlimited had the Best Price with Free Shipping. Someone had posted on the old site as one of the best places to get V61's. I called all the ones posted, and they were the best. Make sure you get tire tubes at the same time. The website doesn't list them, but they should have them in stock. I have to call them up and get another set. Here's there website; http://www.tiresunlimited.com/default.htm

Miller Tire had them at the Columbus tractor pull for $70 each plus OH sales tax. I think that was the smaller (16") size but I'm not sure.

I've never handled the V61s but saw a set of 5 rib tires at TSC the other day that looked to have pretty deep grooves. Has anyone else seen the TSC and V61 tires to compare the two?
