Look What Followed Me Home Today

Post by albie »

I went to Denton MD today and met fellow garden tractor enthusiast Ed Collins and came home with a 1650 with a tiller. It is in excellent condition and has had new mounts put by him. I have the tunnel cover and the left side panel and it just needs the carb rebuilt.

Ok had some time this afternoon and got the 1650 running, the float was stuck and it wont idle but it did come off the trailer under its own power. The engine sounds good and no smoke and the tiller runs smooth and quiet. So i couldn't help myself so i tried it out and the tiller works awesome!

I dont know how much you like your section between your legs but you better get a tunnel cover on it before you use it I have heard of guys getting wrapped up in the driveshaft

Ed put it in the garage last weekend to fix a few minor things tightened the tension nut on the hydrostat lever took carb off and apart to clean and ordered a tiller belt, the short one kept coming off so i ordered one from a post here from napa, the one on it was a 1/2" and replacement is 3/8" fit better. should be great when its all back together.
