Cub Cadet Collectors dot com

Me in 1976 at 6 years old driving a Cub Cadet. My dad worked for International Harvester in Memphis, TN at the time and tinkered with these tractors as a hobby. I rode these tractors in the backyard, the park behind our house, and up and down the neighborhood sidewalks. I haven't been on a Cub since the 70's, but am getting the urge to own a nice restored 1970's model for nostalgia reasons. I still vividly remember driving these "lawn tractors" that were built like a TANK!

first is probably the oldest 'kid' in here- my late friend Don, horsing around 'look ma-no hands' the day we got it running... he was 90 when we lost him in July... bought the old cub at his estate sale- we had done a lot of work on it (petcock vibrated out in 2011, caught fire bigtime) but never got it all together before he got sick...second pic is my 6 yr old son in our driveway, we'll use the cub, but will keep working on it too- hope to have it looking all new by next yr, maybe a few minor modifications- wider wheels/tires, add fenders, maybe a new hood, fresh paint/decals/seat... thats the plan anyways.

we sure miss the old guy, but he had this old tractor since it was new, know it meant a lot to him...

Maybe not a cub but it is red. Yes that’s a 4 bottom behind a super M Granted sandy soil but it’s a very strong supe M. This is one of my favorite pictures
