U.S.D.I. Cub Cadet?

Post by MattS »

I have a frame from a 126 that has an oval ID tag soldered to it. The tag has serial number 19892 and reads U.S.D.I (U.S. Department of Interior?). It also has N P S- N C R along the top. Does anyone have any info on this? I am thinking this was a government owned tractor at one time.

Matt is U.S. Dept of Interior is correct maybe NPS is National Park Service. Google says NCR is National Capital Region

Edit: Did a little more google it is National Park Service-National Capital Region wich services the parks around the Mall in Washington D.C. and other area sites listed at:

Well that makes sense. I picked this one up from outside of Baltimore.

Matt still a pretty neat find, that thing probably mowed its share of lawn while the park service had it. Did you look at the list of parks serviced in that link, makes alot of sense
that you found it near Baltimore

I was amazed at the list of places this tractor could have been. I have been Googling trying to find a picture of a Cub chugging across the White House lawn or something like that, but I don't think I'm gonna find it. I just might have to bring this Cub back to life.
