Favorite ( go to ) Cub?
I started mowing this season with my 122 since I had the rototiller on the 125. Tonight I put the mower deck on the 125 and was amazed how much better I liked the 125. It just seemed sturdier/ more stable. ( maybe it's the wide front tires? I have narrows on the front of the 122. Both have fresh rebuilds and both run great )
What's your favorite or "go to" cub if you have multiples?

Re: Favorite ( go to ) Cub?
I wish I had that many.heheheheh
I use the 125 I just picked up to cut the grass, before that is was the 128 I sold.So on and so on.The Wheel Horse B 80 cuts nice, rear discharge,The 582 cut the grass very short without scalping. But my favorite is the 100 with the 48" deck,or is it the 125 with the hydro pump?

Re: Favorite ( go to ) Cub?
I enjoy using a lot of mine and all but a couple get regular use. Just to use them all still, I too have a job for most mowers.
73- tilling, snowblowing, plowing, pushing snow
102- designated sickle mower tractor
CCO 950- Just to use I pull the lawn sweeper and cut between blackberry rows
Cub Lo-Boy- Hay rake and sometimes cutting
782- grass cutting and sometimes plowing now
982- grass cutting and grading (cat-0 grader blade work)
The Cadet 60 and Tricycle 100 don't get a lot of practical use.
My go to tractor is by far the 782. It cuts as quick as the 982 and is a bit more agile and it plows very fast too. Highly dependable and I love jumping on it and going for a quick job.

Re: Favorite ( go to ) Cub?
Definitly my 147 good power and plenty of weight to do all my plowing, cultivating, snow removal work, and will tow more than twice its weight.
The new 1650 will probably come a close 2nd for tilling and now snowblowing this winter

For cutting the grass it's the one that will start that day(128 or 149).

Re: Favorite ( go to ) Cub?
Mine would be the 1811 for grass and the 1872 for snow plowing, I just picked up a 2084 with the 451 snowblower and 60'' Haban (this makes 2 of these) if it works out the 1811 may have to go as much as I would hate to I don't have room.In the last pic it's the 1811 with the deck I use for grass, the other was sold some time ago.

My 1966 122 is by far my favorite above my original, and I would take both of my cubs over the stupid 1969 jd 110 I have (it's goin up for sale).
Have a original and a 122 http://mycubs.yolasite.com/

My 882 is the one I like to use the most. I use it for plowing and it also does most of my mowing. I haven't used it for snow removal yet though.

Re: Favorite ( go to ) Cub?
My go to tractor orginally was my 124. That has since been replaced by my 782 (2nd in line) as the go to tractor. Still have both of those, but since the 782D arrived on the scene, it's quickly becoming my go to tractor. Already mowing with it, added the Cat 0 3 pt, and soon will have ags and weights on it. As for Cory, his 782 (3rd in line) is his baby. I've asked him if he wants to replace it with something else and I might as well be asking him to jump off a bridge! He loves his 782 and won't part with it. The 582 is a playtoy more than anything for both of us.

My 149 is my go-to machine. Best CC I've ever had. Here's a pic of it with my project O that just came home about a month ago.

Re: Favorite ( go to ) Cub?
I have always liked the 129 style of tractor and forgot about that, since having the super.
Now that I have the 149 running good, it's my favorite.
I was even thinking of resurrecting the 128HE and making it a 149HE.
Foot control hydro, hydraulic lift, smooth 14hp, 26" tires longer, higher, foot controlled shuttle pedal. [/font]

Thanks guys. Since that picture I added the IH decals front and back, looks even better with them. Here's a couple shot of it with the decals.
