Cylinder bores on a Mag 20 are 3.125", so a 3.500" ball hone will work great. Make sure you spray the cylinders down with a penatrating liquid i.e. WD-40 or PB Blaster, continue to lightly spray as you hone. Keep a constant back and forth motion in the bore and leave the hone cranking til it is completly out of the cylinder. Degrease, wipe clean and your all set. Same rules aply for a flat hone setup. Sure you know this already, good for the people that might not.

Watch for what grit ball hone you buy . I just deglazed a 18 mag last week and went to buy a ball hone and couldn't even order one under 120 grit .
The Kohler Magnum twin service manual recomends that the final (burnishing stone ) be 220-280 grit . The only thing I could find that fine was the flat 3 stone type .
Drill speed of about 250 rpm and about 60 stokes a minute . Also Kohler recomends that the crosshatch be 23 -33 degress off the horizontal. To flat will cause excessive ring wear and to shallow will result in high oil consumption.
I know its kind of technical but , I just did the best I could...lol
