No washers, just the bearings and the washers on the outside. When do they rub? I would check the spindles and see if they are bent, then check the steering arm and pivot pin. 18 850X8 is the stock size.

Ok I'll Check that . The tires rub all the time but I think it is more when you make a turn.

Could a previous owner have put on a pair of wheels with different offsets? or turned the wheels around?

Can you post a pic? It would help to determine what's not right with it.

Mike , is those washers on the tie rod ends ? I don't think there is supposed to be those big washers where the tie rods bolt to the spindles .
I see a lot of cub cadets while going down the tracks , its a shame I can't pull over and ask about them .

Mike , Something is not right if the washers are rubbing. sounds like you fixed the problem , but just to let you know the last step to installing a 60" mower deck is to install those big washers as a steering stop. Both of my 2072's have them. Dave

Those big washers on the tie rod ends are probably factory. I remember seeing some of them coming through with those and thought it was odd. Maybe they got a good deal on some surplus, or maybe their supplier ran out of the correct size.
We would always check the toe on new tractors so I had direct interaction with those washers.

well if I ever get the 60" deck fixed up to go back on it I'll check it for fit then add the washer back on BUT I'll take my die grinder or plazma cutter to washer next to the tire side of washer for no rubbing on tire e-z fix but what I dont understand is if the wheel stops weren't designed for a 60" then why sell the dang deck in the first place .....???????

I don't know about you but I love my 60 inch Haban deck. It has allowed me to sell a larger orange tractor (if you know what I mean), and still keep my mowing down to 2 hours.

It would have been MUCH cheaper to add the washers and be able to use the axle than either re-design the axle or design a different deck.

Well I live in town right now and trying to move out of here so I can start to use my toys to there fullest use insted of once or twice a year I got some work to do on my 60" to get it to were I would like it (i.e. cleaned up, painted, and fix the broken wheels on it) some time I'll uncover it and get a picture of it . It looks as bad as the tractor did before I redone the it . I'll probbly like it as much as I do my 50" on my JD that cuts grass so nice you would think it is a carpet .
