Craigs List 122
This was a local CL find....
This has the usual stuff on it,I like the tandem disc though...42" deck in vgc, snow plow, and brinly plow.
I know the little plow is for a Troy Built.but I was wondering what the extensions were for.
Not a turnkey tractor but will look different when I am done with it.
serial #170748.

Lewis that looks a little like the sweeps they used when I lived in SW Kansas, only they were huge. Looks like a bit of a stiff angle to put it in the ground very deep with a GT. Maybe used it to build hills for potatoes?

Re: Craigs List 122
The owner had a Troy Built tiller, how does this mount to it? We could not see where it hooked up?
Under edit.
Here is a picture of it mounted to the tiller.
Good thing I have the manual,Not sure where I got it from....

Did they sell the majority of cub cadets in the northeast? I only wish that there was as much stuff available here as there is out there. Anyway looks like a nice package!

Re: Craigs List 122
You take the wings off and use it to plow the furrow for your Tators;
Mounts like this underneath the Troybilt. Here I have it under my Horse.
It was a bit wet, but I had to plant them.
Add the wings and use it to hill your Tators. Here i have it under my Pony.

That was a couple of years ago, yes those were White Cobbler tators that year. I use that garden to grow my Giant Pumpkins now. I also have the blade for the front of the Horse as well.

When I bought my Pony I had to think hard on spending 1100 bucks. 10 yrs later, best 1100 Ive ever spent!

For cultivating it's great, but the bronze gear in mine has gone out and I have it apart at the moment. Now my horse is a real animal. LOL

Re: Craigs List 122
Well the 122 runs!!!
I was having issues trying to get it to turn over so I put a different ign switch on it due to the rusty contacts, turned over!! Took off the gummed up carb and put a rebuilt carb on ,stuck a remote gas tank on it and it started right up.I left the points alone because it runs so well with no smoke or knocks. The battery charges and the S/G is quiet.I would have taken it for a ride but it is missing the fenders and the seat pan....

Re: Craigs List 122
Pat, If your Horse is one from the late 70's - about 94 or so the shop I worked at painted the attachments. Used to deliver finished parts right to the door in Troy. Was there for the end as well. Broke my heart to see what they did with the items that MTD didn't want... They scrapped multiple tons of stuff, new parts, complete tractors, mowers, there was a full trailer load of Tomahawk chipper/shredders that went to the scrapyard with the walk behind sickle mowers and chipper vacs thrown on top. I did manage to save a few items. Got 5 sets of the hard-faced tines for my Horse, couple replacement sickle bars and a skid full of new Iseki diesel engines.
Owner of an 1863, 2263 (1863 W 22hp engine!) 2084 and a 2 - 2284s.

Re: Craigs List 122
It's a shame too, the old TB's are built like Tanks, when you consider these were 1950's designs and the're still going strong.
A trip to http://www.zucksrototillers.com/ will fill in all the rest of TB's history.
