Good idea, good for filling up hytran, just use a different fitting.
Ken, I never have a problem installing that lower screw,a little bit of paper towel and it stays on the tip of the screwdriver..

I know that the weight capacity of it isn't near enough , but that would be cool to haul my TD6 around on .

Hi All -
New to the thread and haven't posted yet. Here is a picture I took this past weekend of my IH Cub Cadet 682 that I own and use. I have a few attachments including a nice #2 Cart. It still has the original KT17 Series I engine with only 450 hours on the hour meter.

After some sports games in the morning we did our annual "mulching of the beds". So with the help of the kids and the 127 we laid down 6 yard of black dyed mulch in just a few hrs. It was very wet after all that rain yesterday so the tire chains were a must on the wet grass. I would love to stage better pictures but i already got yelled at for snapping these few. Dave

Dave, looks great! Mulching can sometimes be a pain, but it means nice weather is here! I'm sure the Cub makes it a lot more fun
The pics that you posted are nice, I understand how you feel though! You can't seem to win when you need to take pictures with the cooperation of others

Played musical cubs today getting ready for winter. 1872 did not want to start after sitting for 9 months.Had to give a squirt or two to get it to fire. 127 fires right up with that real slow ......chug.chug chug.

Re: Continuous Thread Shooting The Breeze, Just Like Old Tim
Dave - I heard you got some great big ugly 4WD orange thing for winter work...
I clear my neighbors stove drive with a blower but with a steel extension to set the skids to allow much more clearance, probably about 3". I also like the mower deck ball wheels that Marty showed in his thread. Ball wheels will allow the blower to move sideways easier during steering. Maybe try the ball wheels yourself, but add an extension to get above the stone more.
Bought a 551 blower tonight myself. Just what I needed, a third blower... But, I'm ok compared to Dave; he has lost count of his blowers...

Dave, have you gotten to the point of making your wife park the car outside yet becuase the garage is full of Cubs?
But really though, that snow yesterday was a wake up call. Got to make sure everything is ready for the winter because it is coming fast.

Re: Continuous Thread Shooting The Breeze, Just Like Old Tim
I woke up the 1811 from its long winters nap. I picked this sled up this summer from a client and he said it had be sitting a while so i thought i really should go over the carbs. I have found from years of snowmobiles....clean carbs means a lot less pulling on the cord. I would not call this a rebuild cause theirs no new parts, just a good cleaning with the best stuff known to man. A good friend tipped me off that gloves r a must when working with nasty chemical !! They cleaned up in about an hour and i hope to get them on early next week along with the new choke cable. Oh.....and the 1811 didnt even flinch while dragging this beast !

Man that looks cool. I just love anything with an engine, and I just haven't ever played with one of those.
What's with all the stickers and numbers? Do you have to register them or is that a pass for a private/public place to ride?

Finally some decent weather ! It was time to clean up last Autum's debree field. There was plenty of wood behind the 102 that still needed to be split and shuttled to the basement along with the fresher stuff that still needs drying out.
I'm pretty pleased with what I got done in five hours and I popped an Aleve right after I got my muck boots off - Attachments

Just put a 50C deck on my IH 782. Anyone know what size belt I need? I have it set up for 5/8".

Hi All,
It has been a long time since I have posted because like most life gets in the way.
It is with a heavy heart I announce the passing of Jim Harrington from Coventry or Greene RI. Some of you older guys probably remember him on the ihregistry which is why I am posting it here.
Harri was very involved with his cubs restoring a 126, O and we both joked about getting a 76 in working order. He lost his battle with cancer at the age of 42 he leaves a wife and 2 beautiful little girls.

I'm not sure who is in charge of the manual section , (maybe Dave ?? ) but if your interested here is a picture of the parts diagram for a Brinly box scraper blade if you want to add it to the manual section . If not that's OK to . I did my best to photograph it , but the original manual is faint also , and I did try straightening and cropped it a little around the edges .
My neighbor has a scanner that I can copy the whole owners manual ( 8 pages ) and then mail it to whoever is in charge of the manual section if that would be better .

Ok, I need to come clean and admit something here. I'm rather partial to Olivers.
These three show up in my neighbors field around the same time each year and today I decided to walk over and take a few shots. They sure sounded sweet when they were haying last week.
The way their parked I'd guess he has them on display !

Re: Continuous Thread Shooting The Breeze, Just Like Old Tim
I am doing some spring cleaning of the forum here, so...
We have three of these "Continuous Thread..." topics, in each of the major forums as a "sticky" at the top of the forum. Stickies are intended for popular or important topics that stay at the top for quick access. As much as we liked the format of the original IH Registry forum, we have quickly adapted to this new format and these "Continuous Threads" just don't justify sticky status.
As a non-sticky, it will now simply disappear down the page as new topics replace it, just like any other topic. You are welcome to still post something here if you wish, but too many stickies just clog up the page.

Re: Continuous Thread Shooting The Breeze, Just Like Old Tim
I think it would be great if we could revive this thread again. I always love reading about what folks are doing with their old Cubs.
Last week was our first real cutting of the season, we had a very late Spring this year. Actually, there was no Spring to speak of, we went from Winter straight into Summer in a matter of two days. There was a very violent wind storm that came through our way the day before yesterday, many trees and power lines were down. Our power and water was out for over 20 hours. In our 20+ years here that's a record, it even topped Irene. The fiber optic phone and internet line went out about 10 hours after the power once the battery backup ran out. I had been told that the battery backup is supposed to last at least one whole day, well that is a bunch of bull.Temps went into the lower 80's. I packed the refrigerator with ice and kept the meat freezer closed. The fridge got up to about 40 degrees so the 3 dollars in ice was money well spent. The freezer never got above 30 so no worries there.
Now it's chilly here today but show season is on it's way
