Original with big ags...

Post by l palma »

I drove by the local repair shop on my way to wally world and saw the guys moving out stuff from behind the building with a skid steer. There on a rack was a QA42A thrower in good shape. This was out in the lot last year and I inquired about it and they thought it was in for repairs.Owner was out so I will see if I can get in touch with him on Sunday.

Saw this outside the shop in for repairs...

I'd love to find a set like those. I want to convert my tricycle 100 to rubber tires instead of the steel ones I fabbed up on it for comfort and traction for practical use. Good luck on the snowthrower!

If those AG's are either 15" or 16" they are no longer made! THe Case 442, 444, 446 & 448's use that as well as the 644, 646 and 648 loader tractors. THe closest you can get is something made for a skid steer. Tread is similar to backhoe tires with the center bar for roading.

Both my 644 and 646 have htat tire and woud love to find replacments but to date no luck!

Try ME Miller tire. They list a bunch of ag tires and if you don't see it call. They probably have something there. I know folks have bought 16" ags from them for Power King tractors.

Well, there are some sizes that Miller does not carry. I have been looking for replacement 8.5 x 15's in an ag pattern for a long time now.
I have seen these on other machines but can't recall what kind it was, and those were in worse shape than the ones I have now (and these are pretty bad too- the calcium really did a number on the cords from the inside) They are tubed now and chemical free but they are not going to hold up another 40 years :?

This size could be had in a skid steer pattern as Frank mentions however that's not what I'm after
Does anyone have another source to look into?

15" mini spare rims from a Pontiac van, if I remember correctly, however there is a list of rims that will fit the hole spaceing of the cubs out on the net someplace, I saw it a few years back.
