I aggree, neat story, but there are a few details that dont match! Just another example of the new owners not knowing their own history.

Neat story! But I believe a model 100 was not introduced untill '64. Prior was the model 70 in '63 which was also the last production year of the Original. What a great tractor theae IH Cub Cadets are! :D

Wonder why they show a CCO instead of the 100.

Jlazar, the 70 and 100 were both introduced in Aug 1963, and were built until latter part of Aug 1965 when production began on the 71/102/122. The 123 joined them in Jun 1966.

I also started to post the same thing about why they showed a CCO with the story , but after looking at the article again with the text under the picture , I'm not sure that it even goes with the article .
As for when they started selling 100's , according to the production chart in our document section they started making 70 / 100's in August of 1963 . I don't know if they starte making 70's first then decided to come out with the 10 hp version 100 , or if they came out with the 70 / 100 at the same time ??.
I see a lot of cub cadets while going down the tracks , its a shame I can't pull over and ask about them .
