Kaitlyns model 72
here is a cub 72 that i bought for my daughter (almost 3)
i found a motor for it and got it running including a full re-wire
i had special plans for it
last saturday i started tearing into it for a redo
this saturday i got paint on to is
today i started assembly
i have a set of tri-ribs for it and a set of 6x12 ags for the rear so just ignore the wheels for now
the kids like it

Re: Kaitlyns model 72
Interesting idea. Are you having custom decals made to go with it or sticking with the blue?

Re: Kaitlyns model 72
well i have been working on it more
i had painted the hood, wheels and seat in IH white and just didnt like what it looked like
so i repainted everything in regular white and it looks better
got the motor painted and in and most everythign else done
not got it running yet
put the rear ags on and had help
got the custom decals on it as well
i think it came out very good

Chris-
That was very "fatherly" of you getting her a tractor. She is such a sweetheart too.
I'd like to know how you got everything done in such short order. I know she had to be around your feet while working on the cub.
You might want to start looking for some fenders. I think that, and maybe a pink trailer of some sort would really set it off. It is parade ready as it sits now though.
I can imagine her in 15 years or so as a highschool student in a parade riding a tractor that's 40+ years older than she is and rebuilt by her father. There are a lot of parents that have introduced their "youngins" to cub cadets. The parents ought to arrange a meeting time in about twenty/thirty years for these children of theirs to meet (with their cubs). I know of two other pink cubs in existence and I'm sure there are more. I don't have children of my own but I have two little buddies that will be getting (nonpink) cubs from "Uncle Wayne". They are the children of the son of a good ole high school buddy of mine. They come to see me and we ride cubs for hours.
Great thread!

Re: Kaitlyns model 72
Turned out even better than expected I think. One of the better custom paint jobs I've seen on one and a nice storyline to go along with it. Parade worthy

Beautiful job, only thing missing is her name painted on it. That would be the finishing touch.
