Dave I bought mine through Midwest Super cub.
I couldn't wait for success, so I went ahead without it.

Dave,
MSC industrial supply has them. They are called "die springs".
I would try a green one which is 294lbs;

or a blue one which is 484lbs;

I think the stock spring is around 250lbs.

Pullers usually go with the red or yellow springs which are way heavier. The one in my diesel is supposed to be 1100lbs.

Spring color codes can vary among the die spring makers.
I have the MSC Red in my 100 and it's rated at 800 pounds. The yellow is rated for 1120
Sounds like Vince's clutch foot was getting tired :lol:
There ain't no way I, you, or anyone else wants that red one in an everyday user but brother do they hook up good then!

Little Vinces foot is tired. But I trashed another throw out berring, dont know whats going on, so Im pulling it out, and not putting one back in. I have blue ones on my 482 and 106, not a single problem. And the clutch dosnt slip. Im just pulling a plow, some trees, but no sleds, it dosnt snow here often, LOL!

Vince,
That is one fairly massive spring for a young lad to depress- I'm impressed! ;)
Dave mentioned that his Grandfather will be using the machine and the red might be a bit much for an older gentleman to depress as well.
I can't wait for the day when the throw out bearing bearing fails on the 100 just so I have to take that spring out as it's been in there for seven years now and when it does I suppose I'll switch over to the blue.
The very heavy die springs are slow murder on that little bearing, they simply weren't designed to carry kind of pressure.
One other thing that's prone to happening with the heavy spring setup is that the clutch fork upper clevis will distort the dash pedistal to the point that the bracket mount will detach itself from the pedistal at the sides. There are a couple different ways that it can be built up stronger to prevent that from happening.
A while back, there was a post done showing a very nice modification of one but I can't recall if that was the from old Forum.

Ken

The coment on the distortion is why Im going with the blue. If I were pulling a sled that would be one thing. But pulling a few trees, and a plow, Ill stick to the blue. Ive had the blue one in my 106 for years, and it hasnt slipped a bit. I have it compressed a little more past the original hole. I cant tell the differance between the stock and the blue pushing them in.
