Whatizzit?
Digging through the racks, found this bracket and lift arm. I am guessing the bracket is for a thrower rod as it came off an O with a thrower, is the arm from an O as well?

Re: Whatizzit?
The book calls that the bracket in the first picture "Bracket Assembly, Rear". It is what the pto idler control lever slides in an engages or disengages the snow thrower on the Original.
I have no idea what the second picture is.
I sent you a message on the bracket.

Bill . if you ever find out what that other lift bar is let us know .
I've got that same yellow painted slotted bar and don't have a clue what it goes on .

Bill,
This looks like the bracket from my original with a snothrower on it. It is for the rod that tightens the drive belt and mounts on the left side of the dash.

Re: Whatizzit?
Ray, the arm is 23" long, the slot is 3 1/2". There is a slight upward bend that doesn't show in the picture very well. It's almost a perfect length for some sort of 3 pt. arm, but the slot is not normal fo one...got me baffled.
As far as the O bracket goes, what are these worth, if anything? It was on the 4 digit Junior redid a few years back.

It looks like the bracket for the starter/generator to me.

Shultzie
That's gotta be one monster of a starter when you compare that rod to the hood it's on.

Re: Whatizzit?
OK , here's another Whatizit ?
I asked a while back on the old forum and never got an answere . I know what the weights are , but what is the bar for ?
It measures 33 3/4 " long 1 1/2 inches wide and is 5/16 inch thick .
I think I got it with some Original stuff , but not sure .

Re: Whatizzit?
Do you suppose that's a Cat 0 lift rod for something? Slot allows float, hole is small like x82 rockshaft pins, and the bends for whatever tractor it would come from? I'll lock that in as my guess. I'm still interested in knowing what the CCO bracket is too.
From the first Original to the last x82 Series... you can't beat an IH Cub Cadet!!!

Re: Whatizzit?
I have a Watizit too…
I was told it is a sickle bar sharpener. Is it true? What all else is missing, and would it be worth anything to any one? I also bought these weights recently. They would fit on the front wheels if the valve stems were on the inside. Any idea what there from?

Re: Whatizzit?
Tim, those weights look like some I picked up with an old walking tractor I dragged home years ago, 8" wheels? It wasn't a David Bradley, but it was something like one.Tim DeLooza wrote:I have a Watizit too…

Re: Whatizzit?
Tim does appear to be a sickle knife sharpener. As to what it fits or what is missing I cannot say.
The weights look exactly like the weights that come in the rear bagger kits for bigger MTD garden tractors like Yard-Man or Yard Machines. At least they used to be, and those front rims are different than our cub rims as they have two holes punched in them. When I used to work at TSC they were included in the bagger kits for garden tractors with I believe triple baggers for decks 46" or bigger.
