'Cause I wanted to.......
In the time frame that this tractor was built (1966), the IH Cub Cadet line was part of the Industrial Equipment Group of the IH Farm Equipment Division. The other industrial tractors were all painted yellow and had the number 2 or 3 as a prefix to the hood decal/model number. Why not the Cub Cadet too. This is a "what could have been", just 'cause I wanted to.......

Paul,
Great job and great idea. Would have been a neat option back in the day.

Thanks guy's.
JLazar, you didn't miss the creeper, it doesn't have one. A creeper and wheel weights are about the only thing missing, and I have the weights, just not sure I want to put them on it. It also has a 12 hp engine.

John , I did noticed that it didn't have a creeper , but Paul doesn't like them and usually takes them off and sells them .
But it does have the rarer rear PTO and hydrolift as well as headlights , rear Grote tail light , and rear lift ( all options ) so yeah I'd still say its loaded .

Paul...
I like the way it stands out...did you do something to the front axles...seems like it has a wider stance.

Lew,
The front axle is stock. The front tires are 3.50 x 8 on Original or early 70/100 wheels and I guess they just make it look wider.

I perfectly understand, and respectably recognize Paul's opinion and tractor set up, " New Look Of Power " , 2102 is loaded!Jlaws wrote:John , I did noticed that it didn't have a creeper , but Paul doesn't like them and usually takes them off and sells them .

Re: 'Cause I wanted to.......
Very nice Paul! I was planning on something similar with my loader tractor. I was going to call it a 2123. I was going to do the wheels and hood in white and the decals in black so
it would resemble some of the tactor/loader/backhoes that IH made a few years later.

Re: 'Cause I wanted to.......
Todd,
In the 1967 IH Industrial Equipment Buyers Guide, the 3xxx "loader tractors" are shown as being yellow with white wheels, while the 2xxx tractors are shown as yellow with yellow wheels, with a couple of exceptions (2806 and 2706 with silver rear rims and the 2656 with white wheels, and 2404 Lo-Boy with white rear wheels), but the good part is since it will be your tractor you can paint it the way you want, I think you have seen "my sign before.
