Thanks, yeah I think a new seat is in order, and Tars, and hitch, a turning brake, and front ports, and power steering, and a Kohler Command....

Yeah I know I'm gonna sell a perfectly running Onan 19.9 and ruin it's originality... IDC I want Command Power! :)

Not an Arm and Leg, but I am thinking 450 for it complete with the PTO clutch which looks new. I'll unload the tractor tonight and look it over some more, but I think it's a low hour machine, and that Onan is quiet. It's way quieter than a Magnum....

Here's my 982. it's had power steering, turning brakes, dual hydraulics, cat 0 3 pt and a mag 20 put in/on it. it's my loader tractor most of the year, but also visits plow days as well. have a 46gt deck for it if needed, but hasn't been pressed into service yet, although if i part with my loader (which i am considering), it will get a snowblower on the front in the winter and help mow in the summer.

Here are the three I have. They all have rear pto/lift, dual brakes 2 and 3 have front ports but not the first pic. The first tractor was my dads and the one that got me addicted to these things. Oops, pics 2 & 3 had to be resized and it chopped the pics off.

Bryan , If I knew you were looking for a 982 , I might have been able to set you up .
I got a guy local that's been trying to sell me another one thats got engine issues , but he wants to much for it being that it doesn't run .

Told him I don't have room for another .

Its a plain Jane with single hydraulics , but does have dual brakes .

I worked on it for him last year and had it running really nice , originally had a bad starter which I rebuilt , but I don't know what he's done to the replacement Onan in it now..... :(
Wants me to fix it , but I don't have the time .

Last time I fixed it he showed me receipt a where he had it replaced around the year 2000 IIRC .

Anyways heres a picture of my 982's , Larry , Curly and Moe .

Jess I wasn't really looking, but more cruising Cl when I saw an ad for a "a big lawn mower" :) I didn't need it but the price was reasonable, and it was IH built. I have been thinking about a super project for a while, now I just gotta find the time to put one together.

This was actually my second one. I just bought a motor for one I was restoring and got it completely done and restored when I ran across this one. Got it home and tore it down to the frame and did the same thing to this one since it was actually IH built and had 3 pt, rear pto, etc.
All factory options as well as new ags from GCT, actual 982 power steering assist (not retrofitted one from newer supers), and IH arm rests. New motor with less than 100 hrs. Reason it was originally sold to me... NLA steering box broke which is NLA until you go to Deere for the exact same box. Great tractors to own but a lot of expensive parts compared to a narrow frame or something.

Those Onans have a great sound and more power than you know what to do with. Like the rear tiller btw.

2 more 1872s and my first 982 not pictured. Will try to get that done this weekend. The not-yet-pictured 982 was my first Super, and it is disassembled at the moment waiting for some spare time, and for me to decide what engine it will get. Right now it is between a Command 22, mag 18, or D-600. It will wear a 3 point and pto.

Yes, this is an obsession at this point.

Thanks for the pictures guys. I can see there are a few 982's out there!

I need to get started on mine, but I have a few projects and things in front of it. It's a tractor I certainly didn't need, but I got it pretty reasonably, and when I get time to work it over I should have a good dependable tractor. I did find a set of rear tires for it.
