Trip to Red Power Show Down
Trip to Red Power Show Down
I'm starting this thread to have a "Geezer Story" of my trip to the show. I'm going to set up an exhibit on a card table in the Cub Cadet area with some of the Memorabillaa (Mostly about Originals and the M&W 9 Speed) that I have collected over the 12 years I have been going to tractor shows. This is an IH show put on by Chapter 17 of H Collectors. If your planning to come to the show as a guest or as an exhibitor you can post here. I will be taking a lot of pictures. I will check this thread tomorrow after noon right before I leave and look to meet you Friday & Saturday. Brandon Smith is already to exhibit. If you look me up and a member of "Cub Cadet Collector dot com" i will have a small gift for you. Here is the first picture
My cell phone at the show will be 1-412-979-0257-

Re: Trip to Red Power Show Down
[/attachment]I'm finally getting around to share my pictures of my great trip to the IH show at Bloomsburg, PA. I'm at Howe Sell's house which 19 miles from Oakmont.
We arrive at the Bloomsburg fair grounds about 8:30. We get a hold of Timmy Delooza and he is about a half mile away in the camping area. We met up and it's to muddy to drive back to th camping area so I just grab my sleeping bag and Howie heads for his motel. The next morning I'm awake around 5 o'clock so I walk about a quarter mile to the rest rooms and I see the first Cub Cadet at a camper, it's an Original I remembered what I had forgotten, my two flashlights
If you have any questions or comment or pictures to add feel free to doso. On this forum there aren't any dumb questions
We get on the road but we have to meet with Mark Sell who is taking a trailer load of implements that will be sold at th IH auction Saturday morning. Re: Trip to Red Power Show Down
Brandon Smith could you post the good pictures you took at the IH Show down. I was trying to move them and lost them. Sorry
My camera quit after i took 6 more pictures and was trying to get your pictures on this thread. Thanks This is Jim Sheehan who I met in NY years ago. He had some nice cubs and we kidded about the "Correct Police" and he was a cop. He gave me a Special Police badge and I would kid about being the "Correct Police". Thid is Fred D. from Conn who I also met years ago who owned an Original and his wife Wendy owned a Farmall cub(both nice) so I gave him the badge so watch out for him. I have sen him from bloomsburg to Tenn and all through the New England states.
To be continued

Re: Trip to Red Power Show Down
I ended up with just 14 pictures as my camera quit(i had some bad batteries and cameras quit on low batteries).
To be continued. I'm only heard from one person that I talked to at this show. I need pictures,
This gentleman( I can't remember names) but he won the 73 Cub Cadet we collected parts for during the year before the show at Fort Allen. The year before we did build an Original but a lot of the parts weren't gone over and primed and the motor needed overhauled. Th 73 had a rebuilt motor an most of the parts got primed but different shades of gray. He still has it.
I was next to Ron Clark and his wife's 123 Cub Cadets that are copies of the Tiger and Leopard that IH made and used to show how good the new Hydro transmissions were that was new to that series.
Thanks to Paul Bell for the pictures. To be continued. I'm only heard from one person that I talked to at this show. I need pictures,

Re: Trip to Red Power Show Down
Thanks Brandon Smith for reposting your pictures. I did recieve some Pictures from an E-mail from Gene Preston.
I had mentioned that I had a gift for people who stopped and talked to me. The gift was the 4 page brochure on the M&W Brush hog and grass cutter. I got the original brochure from a guy in NY that out bid me on E-bay. I E-mailed him and found out that he was coming to the 2003 IH winter Cnvention in Mars, PA. He is an IH collector and he came to my house to see the M&W(Edith)and Ted. My son, the printer copied and printed the brochures. I wanted to keep them off of E-bay and I was checking E-bay for about a year when a brochure did show up I E-mailed him and found out it was an Original brochure. I also ended up with a price list that the Kauffman brothers found in a brochure that they bougtt on E-bay. I also had the History of M&W that I found on the internet. I even met the son of Mr Warsaw who never saw an M&W 9 speed. I should of included this parts breakdown but didn't find it till now. that was the last page of installation instructions for the 9 speed. I was also was giving "So you Think Yer a Tractor Guy" which I had changed to "Garden Tractor" and had tis one framed and gave as a door prize for that plow day. It ended up being given to Steve Blunier "MR. Plow Man" Grandfather To Be Continued

Thanks for the great picture. Since I was bumming a ride I left at noon after the auction was over. The ell brothers sold every thing they had except for a snow blower.
Nice to hear from you Tim. Tou rember the good times we had at Possum Lodge. Do you happen to have the fire jumping pictures?
