123

Post by Jlaws »

Brought home another project , basically a 123 roller .
It didn't come with a motor or deck , but the rest other than some rust is in decent shape .
It even came with the original fiberglass seat with blue trim that looked great at first glance , but I found that's its cracked across the bottom . I removed it so that it wouldn't get any more damage before repairs .
I'm going to take the vinyl cushion cover off and try some layers of fiberglass matting and resin on the inside to repair the cracks .
I had pretty good luck in the past repairing a cracked boat hull using this method .
The owner had a crappy blurry picture on CL for quite some time without any luck and I think he was close to scrapping it .

I see a lot of cub cadets while going down the tracks , its a shame I can't pull over and ask about them .

Good for you, Jess. Just the fact that the 123 introduced the hydro to the Cub Cadet line makes them special. :)

Chris , it is .... , but I paid more for this one than you did for yours , and its missing the motor , fuel tank and starter generator . I'm pretty sure I have all those parts here .....somewhere .
You ever get that broken head bolt out of your 123 engine block ?

I pulled the motor out and set it aside ( a later project) put the 10hp in it and have been using it that way. I can see where the hydros need the 12 hp

I think they had tigers, leopards and lions. I lost what little information I had on them. The show would travel round to dealers to show how rugged the 123 Hydro was.
