Snow Thrower drive belt length

Post by John T »

I went to my local Cub Cadet dealer to purchase a belt for my new (to me) QA42 (thanks Tim!), and they did not have any in stock. It doesn't look like it will snow any time soon, but for future reference, I'd like to know what size belt this should be. It's for a 125 if that makes a difference.

Anybody know?

John
Below is the part number and also the belt size.
IH 55053 C1 15/32 X 30"

And when you put the belt on tighten it as tight as you can get it. Run it for a bit and re-tighten it.

Here's the one that gets the job done for me. Cheaper, stronger, no slipping.
Have three of those Cub belts and they can stay in the belt box.
It's going on the third year now and still looks new
