Finally got one to follow me home

Post by albie »

Last week at Fawn Grove Olde Tyme Days had a deal fall in my lap I had to take...782D with mower & snow plow. It ran but wouldn't move and with a little time(and a $.15 roll pin) it works great. Just needs a good cleaning and servicing and a new throttle cable it'll be my new plowday tractor.

Went over my diesel and it only seems to need a throttle cable and a battery to bring it up to par. Added new V61s yesterday with loaded ags next
Started making it into a plow tractor

Vince this was a too good to be true deal only gave $900. Steve sold his for more than double and his 1772 deal wasn't up for sale yet.

Albie - I have found that Wertz Power Equipment in Glen Rock, Pa. will fill our tires with Rim Guard liquid tire ballast for about the same price I can buy RV antifreeze for. They have given me same day turn-around on two occasions.

Rim Guard is 30% heavier than water or WW fluid or RV antifreeze. Rim Guard link: http://www.rimguard.biz/

You should buy metal valve stems and install or have metal stems installed when you mount the tires.

Many places wanted much more money for the Rim Guard, I called all over the Northern Maryland/Southern PA area and Wertz was the cheapest by far. For the Ags on my Super it took about 21 gallons total and cost $132 out the door. (I had already mounted the tires and installed the metal valve stems myself).
