122 help

Post by jarhead »

I just recently moved to a new town, & initially bring any Cubs with me. On Labor Day, I went back to my other house near Atlanta & brought back a 122 that I've had for nearly 20 years. It has a creeper gear, hyd. lift, rear lift, Brinly adapter, rear ag tires, headlights & a tail light. I used to use it to plow my garden. I took the pto clutch off years ago & didn't remember if I was missing any parts. My only problem now is that I'm missing the key stock & the set screws for the pto cage/starter pulley. Could anyone out there let me know what size the key stock & what size set screws I need to put it back together? I will try to get some pictures posted within the next few days. Thanks in advance.

Mike, according to the TC-113 manual, the key is 1/4 X 7/8. It doesn't list the size of the set screws. Hopefully someone else will know that.

Here you go Mike. These are to be used for anchoring the pulley to the bearing.

The set screws that mount above are retainers and they can be 3/8" or 1/4" long but I think they were 1/4 from the factory

Paul and Dale are both correct about the pulley set screws.
The key is listed as IH-452779 R1 Key, 1/4 x 7/8 Square Parallel .....1
The screw is listed as KH-X-60-50 Screw, Flywheel Pulley Set..........1
No size for it is recorded in the parts manual.
The thread for that screw should be 5/16-18.
So yes, Dale is right about the approximate length and size.
Sorry about the confusion guys, I was trying to provide info for the screws for the PTO pulley
