1650 bulkhead/firewall mounts

Post by Tim »

Started a new project, 1650 with hopefully a snowblower. Had to get a new firewall or whatever u guys want to call it because the tabs where it bolts to gas tank mounts were broken. I ran into a problem. First ever quietline so I have no other tractors to reference. I'm wondering if where firewall, bulkhead whatever you call the piece of metal between engine and gas tank should be sitting directly on the frame. There are nuts welded onto the top part of the frame now and I know all the other tractors I have dealt with the nuts were welded onto the inside of frame. Would like to know so I don't ruin new one. Will try to include some pics. Thanks in advance.
