SNOWBLOWER CONVERSION...

Post by britter »

Hey Group,

I'm starting the conversion from manual to electric chute positioning. I have all the pieces together to start but ran into a question I'm sure someone can answer. I'm going to weld a socket onto the gear which is attached to the window motor. I should be ok connecting my welder ground to the gear on the motor when I am welding around the socket, right? I'm assuming I have a complete and safe ground?

Thanks a bunch ahead of time.

If there was no way to remove it from the motor the I would ground directly to the part you are welding. I would also isolate the motor from your welding surface just to add another level of safety.
