MOMENTARY SWITCH WIRING FOR BLOWER ROTATOR...
Ok, I have my bracket made for my window motor on the blower. I'm ready to start wiring to my momentary switch and the photo attached is the way I believe it should be wired up? Any problems you guys see would be very much appreciated!

Only thing I can think is does it need a relay?
What is the amp draw of the motor?
What is the amp rating of the switch?

Re: MOMENTARY SWITCH WIRING FOR BLOWER ROTATOR...
If I'm understanding your schematic correctly, it looks like a dead short. All three terminals on the switch are +; in this case power-in, forward and reverse. You would not ground any of these terminals. Only grounds are at the motor (either through the case or a separate terminal from the two shown) and at the battery negative.
Or maybe I'm just misunderstanding the two marks coming off the left and right of the switch.

Re: MOMENTARY SWITCH WIRING FOR BLOWER ROTATOR...
I'm going nuts here! I tried two different ways of hooking the three post momentary switch up. The first way in the dia. which did not work. For reasons specified I believe in the last reply. Then I tried it as described by delikocc. Still no go! Before I attempted the before said mentioned set up I tried this switch which was a 7 pole switch.
7 pole switch Here is the three pole switch: Here is the window motor for a 1996 Impala SS: I'm just not sure what the heck is going on here. I usually can figure out this stuff but this one has got me puzzled!
I'm so frazzed if you know what else I can do PLEASE let me know.
Regards,
Bri

I should have included a picture of the rear of the 7 pole card:

You need a dual pole double throw switch DPDT for reversing polarity on a DC motor .

Brian , I should have mentioned that ideally you would want a spring loaded momentary DPDT 6 terminal toggle switch with a center off position . I would think any reputable hardware store like ACE hardware would carry it. I looked at the ones at McMaster website but the description of their toggle switches confused me , so I'm not sure .

J,
I got it and it is spring loaded. I installed it and I'm happy to report that the motor now functions. I believe I'm almost ready for the snow!
