109 hydro

Post by cwcub »

So much for a quick service. I think everything on it leaks. I have a 1250 transaxle complete that doesn't leak, is it the same unit? I'm thinking swap if it is. I just looked at the 1250 diff and it has a few leaks to. Looks like I'll be tearing in to this one with out a manual

Don't go at it blind. This should be the right link... I believe. While it's out, a couple axle seals and cork gasket on the pump SHOULD do the trick. With all that fresh looking oil going back, it's possible the seal at the input shaft is leaking and the driveshaft fan blowing it back all over everything too.
From the first Original to the last x82 Series... you can't beat an IH Cub Cadet!!!

Ya I agree. I will order the rebuild seal kit plus gaskets from cc warehouse. I know the trunion shaft seals leak. Looks like the axle seals as well so I'm gonna get everything I can in the seal/gasket department. I've never had one apart so it will be a learning exp. thanks for the link I was having trouble finding that

Somebody put a rubber gasket between pump and diff with silicone that fell apart. The pump rebuild kit from cc specialties has 8 seals in it I only see 4 on the parts diagram. Am I missing something here?
