Try 925-3021. I think that's the one for 82s.

Not all 82 series use the same switch . The 582 uses a different switch than say a 782 . And it also makes a difference if you have a series one or the later magnum engine in say a 682 or 782 . It depends on if it has a magneto or coiled ignition . There were engine changes made during the production run .

Dave which 82 do you have and what is its serial number ?
I see a lot of cub cadets while going down the tracks , its a shame I can't pull over and ask about them .

Yeah....I went out on a limb and assumed it was not a 582....lol.
925-3026 covers 582....and like 1811 1872 2072. Not sure how or why. Like Jess said...I guess more details r needed.

He and I talked yesterday, he’s working on a 2072. I offered him a used one, all he needs to do is stop over and set up a WiFi in my shop! Plus I trucked some parts back for him from ray, you would think he could find a few minutes....

I wish it was that easy! The house is fine but the shop is to far away and the WiFi won’t reach. Added a under ground line when we where digging for a new water line. The new service is a wireless acces point. It’s not plug and go and after a hour messing with IP address I gave up!

Joe.... how many feet are you talking from router to the shop? They make extenders that work pretty good. I have a short one just to cover my house and surrounding area. I think they make for longer length too. Your cable does sound like a better idea....if you can get it hooked up.

So after some research i did find that the switch from a cyclops as joe said will work. same pinout. Also aftermarket replacements for those are readily available. Still not sure why they show the replacement for the 2072 type switch as not having the right pinout.
