hello all I got a question or actually 2 of them first one do you have to lube the starter gen on a 128 cub I see a hold in the brush endcap but not sure if I need to lubeit or not . and the second question did they offer a hydro lift on the 128 or was it only on the hydro tractors thanks jason

Yes, the cap is to lube a bushing.
128 has electric lift as a option, not hydro. If it’s me, add spring assist or make a cool custom hydro lift!

ok so it needs lube in the rear of the starter gen what kinda lube like 3 in 1 oil or what? and what is spring assest?

If you mean the aluminum end frame it's a through hole but it should be plugged. There should be a small welsh plug installed. It can be pulled out and a oil cup can be installed. 10 or 20 weight motor oil would be fine. Don't overdo it with the oil, it will contaminate the brushes inside.
FYI, the bushing looks like this. Very hard to find, if you do their pricy. I whipped up a batch a couple years ago. Yes, the slot for the wick is offset and at an angle.
