Any tips for getting this out?

Yes I'm aware routine grease would have prevented this!

Hey...good to hear from you Paul! Have you tried some heat and a socket about the same size? Honestly you could just completely grease the bolt up and intall. I don't think it is the end of the world if that doesn't move. I guess it depends how particular a man wants to be.

hydraulic press, or some heat and maybe a quench.

I hate it when people over grease things.... pita

A 5/16 bolt and a small sledge broke it loose. Air punch finished the job. I did wake up the neighbors at 7 AM punching it out.

I agree on over greasing things, makes such a mess.

Amazing! Put some grease into those steering knuckles and it's like having power steering! Simply amazing!

Unfashionably late to the party... but here's how I dealt with it way-back-when...

Use a 4" grinder and a flapdisc... grind the the top of thebushing 'till it's flush with the iron. At that point, it'll often tap, or even fall out on it's own.

If not, drop in a fine-thread bolt that's small enough to fit thorugh the knuckle (grind the head down if you have to), put a socket over the other end (big enough to fit over the bushing), install two greased washers and the fine-threaded nut, and start tightening the nut. It'll pull it out without much drama.
