70 degrees on Saturday, and now expecting up to 7" of snow on Monday. Pictures to follow if we do get that much. I hooked up my blade, and also the chains. I'm ready to push snow!

My drive home from work each day is 28 miles, today at least 15 of it was in this
Making it home I dove inside and grabbed the camera-
DSCN1924.JPG
Folks were pulling over to the side and under bridges for cover on the Interstate- The best that I could muster was about 35.
Here are some of the larger ones that I found in the yard but really there were plenty to choose from

At least all that pollen that covered everything is washed away now

Been raining on and off all day Sunday here,...Not supposed to get the winds till tomorrow evening .. or this evening ( Monday )
But 11 PM news said as early as noon the rain, and wind will pick up possibly causing downed trees, and loss of power.

My uncles house has 3' of water in the street, a basement full of water and his machine shop flooded. My kids are ok, two without power. My Jeep is parked at Newark airport and I don't know if it floated away.

Wow I just looked at my post from a few days ago where I suggested just a few inches of snow up the coast, man was I wrong! What a stinking mess!

Well I trust most of you folks survived, I'm still stranded here in southern California waiting for a flight back to a closed airport.

I guess I can tough it out for another day or so!

This is not exactly what New Jersey needs right now.

My Brother In Law, (still farming) lives on the Western side of the state and they just got phone and electric back yesterday. So that made for 8 days without. I have not gotten any recent reports from my Cousin's Daughter who's Mom lives down by the shore near Point Pleasant but it sounds as though they got out of the Marina business around the end of last year at the smart time- good for them.
My Brother In Law says they burned a ton of diesel keeping the pull behind generator turned by the 986 going, that unit is way too much power plant for what they need anymore since selling the cows. All the big old maples by their house fell, but none struck it. The big barn at the top of the next hill over blew down too
Which reminds me- get some snow tires :?

That "blizzard" we were looking at is pounding the upper mid west with drifts up to 3 feet. I trust you folks out there have the blade on and in operation! Mid Atlantic will see lot's of rain from this event. We may see an inch or so for Christmas here in the east.

The storms every 3 or 4 days are setting up for an interesting winter! Looks like a bit of white for the east coast for Christmas and possibly a plow day or two on the 27 and 28th. Got my blade on the 1650 yesterday and the 450 is getting ready for the 682.

Hoping Santa is going to bring warm gloves and socks!

Happy winter solstice folks!
