Re: The Official Weather Thread!
From http://www.footsforecast.org, a local Maryland weather website. Usually very good forecasting.
I'm solidly in the 16-24" with 30" possible. Our area is an anomaly for central Maryland, combination of elevation and wind currents north of Baltimore give us more snow and lower temps than surrounding areas.
I'm pretty much as ready as I'm gonna be...
It's gonna be a tough one with the wind and snow rates. With the kind of depth they are forecasting, I can't wait until the storm is over or I won't get through the cross country path to my neighbors. The plan is to make several runs during the storm to at least have a tractor wide path opened. Can always chew away at the edges after the storm passes. I just hate trying to clear snow while it's coming down. Might be too miserable to try, will have to see.

For most of us this will be a light snow and an easy push. The main concern is the high winds. If you have any trees around the plow path keep limbs and trees in mind.

Anyway, it looks like, at the moment, this thing is going south and east of PA. Maybe get just a few inches here in NE PeeeAaay.

Light snow does not mean a few inches. Light snow can be deep and light because it's so cold and the snow isn't slushy and wet.
You probably will need to plow of more than once! Have fun!

Paul, ok, gotcha. I thought you meant light totals. I did see the 12:1 ratios forecasted for us. Too much to push. Blower with skids set high to clear neighbors stone drive. Finish up all the asphalt areas with the Haban blade.

Lucky me, I will wind up working most of the weekend, so snow will get moved when I get a chance! Oh the fun of being "essential personnel"! I know my driveway will get cleaned Friday night and Saturday morning, then not til late Saturday afternoon the way it looks now. But with this:
and this: snow will get moved! Looking forward to putting them to work!

In reality I just mounted the blade on my 1810 calling for 1-3 so I'm sure the leaf blower would have taken care of things!

Joe you forgot to clean and paint that blade last summer! I spent an hour outside yesterday straightening the tines on the 450. I can't figure out why I didn't do this last summer.
Just shoveled a foot off of the raised deck.
Fun!

About 16". I pushed quite a bit with the 682/54" blade, but should have just went after it with the 1811/450 thrower. Tomorrow will be full day cleaning things up.

Less then A inch!
Then next town to our northwest got nothing, it's 100 miles +\- from ny city. They say ny broke all time total records 26 inches. Can someone confirm this? that's just crazy! On the same note my part of the state is know as being the snow belt, the south the rainy part. I've never seen (the weathermen too) blizzard warnings in the south and nothing in the north, weird!
