The storm coming up the coast Sunday looks like it will hit Philly 6", some into the LeHigh valley and then up into New ENGLAND. At the moment looks like a dry Poconos.

In the past 48 hours the snowstorm we've been tracking all week has made an about-face. A 200 mile shift in the storm track will now bring the Nor'Easter right up the coast with snow likely later in the day Sunday. Details below.

Overnight temperatures will hover near 20 under mostly cloudy skies. A few flurries will be possible but little accumulation is possible.

Sunday morning should be safe for travel, but in the early afternoon snow will overspread the region from south to north. The snow will pick up in intensity, especially in eastern parts of the state. The winds will also become gusty, blowing and drifting any snow that falls. The heaviest snowfall looks to fall between 7 pm Sunday and 2 am Monday morning, before tapering off toward dawn Monday. Winter Storm Watches & Warnings have been issued for potentially dangerous travel. Temperatures Sunday will hold near 30.

Snowfall accumulations are expected to be on the order of 6-10" across the Poconos and the far eastern PA counties of Wayne, Northampton, & Lehigh. From the Northern Tier, down through the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Metro area, and south through Schuylkill County a general 3-6" will be possible. The Susquehanna River Valley and most of Central PA will see a quick drop-off in snow, with the potential for just a light dusting in the Williamsport area down through Selinsgrove.

Monday expect the strong winds to continue with additional flurries and blow and drifting snow. Minimal additional snow accumulation. Highs in the mid 20s.

Tim Ham sent me 3 inches from Northern Bama. So Ill send some up to you and Ill be sure to send it out over the water to get some more moisture in it. Going to use my little plow on the 582 today so pics will follow. This is the first white Christmas in 30 plus years!

Jackpot area will be in the NYC metro. A few reports locally in the PHL metro of 16-22" is possible given the strong forcing and banding that will set up. However, the NYC metro will see a longer duration of heavy snow with favorable parameters resulting in the jackpot. In the end, we all are going to be winners starting out the winter of 2010-2011 with another big snow event.

Good Morning
No snow for central Pa. Just a few light flurries last night. Strong gusts of winds through the night.
How are you guys further east making out?

Pleasant mt Pa ,Wayne county..its kinda hard to tell how much we got here with this wind.I tried to drive to work 5:30 this morning was a complete white out,went off the road twice.Took an hr to drive 7 miles and turn around and drive back home 7 miles.God bless the subaru outback
Upper portion of drive way next to house has about a ft of snow,further down the driveway is cleaned off from the wind.

I will have to quess we have gotten around 5-8 inches and the day off

We got about 4 to 6 but the wind has given us bare spots and clean roof. I ain't going out there until the wind slows down. My brother near NY city says is pretty bad down there. The NJ highway web dams show most folks staying off the roads.

Supposed to melt by Saturday.
