Hi Tom!
Most of the roads here in NE PA are too dangerous to drive. If you are east of here get your driving done!

A year since a white grass post. We'll you guys out in the mid west better lube the thrower!

I'm all set for winter with the blade mounted on the 1650 and thrower on the 1811. Never did fix the lift issue on the 1650. Blade lifts enough to plow ok and fix set for next spring.

With no snow, no posts!
As I recall, we only got to Plow only one more time after that early December storm last year. This year, I’m not ready for it yet! I’ve been working a ton of OT. While the bank account is happy, I’m not getting much ship time! I’ll get some weekends back in November for sure.

Three inches of unplowed powder with a glazing of ice underneath on the Interstate heading home at Midnight. Could not hardly see a thing, got a little too close to a guard rail, corrected and started getting a bit sideways, but was able to straighten out and come to a stop at a 45 angle.
Calling for 12 to 24 here in Southern Vermont and there's over five out there now at 2:30
All done with that commute stuff, off from work till the 28th, Tomorrow is a snow day! :D

“We're 5 days out and models will likely shift, but this one presently looks like it might get its own Wikipedia page.” Models all presently suggest widespread 1-2 foot potential. This is a classic Nor'easter setup, and a Miller Type A storm. Model support is about as good as it comes from 5 days out, however there is room for many adjustments and still the outside shot of this storm missing.

Back in the end of May we had a hard frost that wiped out any chance of an apple crop along with who knows what else this year.
That was followed by four weeks of no rain.
Then we wound up with three weeks of bad air due to the Canadian wild fires.
Then nearly one week of excessive heat in the 90+ degree range.
And now this

That's just how weather goes sometimes.  For my area I'm waiting for the snow cycle to start again.  We always go a few years without much snow, people start claiming it'll never snow again, then we get hit hard!  I think I'd be fine if I never had to mount up the blower again!

Six inches of rain in 24 hours with another three just a few days before is hardly normal.
We were just lucky, that's all, surrounding towns became islands.
I have seen the Connecticut river this high only a couple of times before.

Just checking in? How wet are things? More rain today? Zagray was hot yesterday, but a wash today… several more inches today. Hopefully you guys up north don’t get any more!

Hi Joe, hey thank you for asking.
We are towing the line here all right with some damage to the driveway but it's still very passable. Plenty of folks all around us have had their lives smashed and I'm doing my bit by not turning into a galking bystander. Water has been running down our hill for a week now because the ground is so saturated. There's not a lot of point to going after grading the driveway until the water runoff subsides.

There is a hit and miss engine show that is gaining traction in Hinsdale, NH and my Son and I went there last weekend. He is big time into the Maytag engines now having about seven of those things and he handed off one to me to rebuild for him supplying the engine core and all the new parts it needed.
I got it back together minus the carb by last Wednesday and he it finished off, and got it up and running by Friday. It came along to the show with another single and a couple of twins. That one runs real strong and I'm being pretty smug about it 8-)
