Doing lots of maintenance on my 1811, it's used in the winter with the 450 thrower.

I find two blue wires above the rear end. Any idea what these re used for? There is one on each side.

From memory up front blue is for lights, do your tail lights work? If not put the meter on there, and test the lights. Let us know....

The manual does give the color code, but my memory is the same as Joe, blue = lights. The harness has the connector at each taillight location, and the taillights each have a pig tail that plugs in. Allows for easy removal of fender pan without disturbing bulbs.

Yup, just tested and they are key operated for the tail lights.

PO had the fender pan off and never plugged them back in. (It wasn't me!)

Fender pan is coming off next.

Thanks for the help, I know I should have gotten the test light out before posting......maybe next time.

Thanks, ya I'm still kicking but for some reason it's gets harder every year to work on the Cubs!
Lots of long overdue maintenance needed before the white grass arrives.
