K301 and K301A Pistons/Rods Interchangeable ???

Post by BearKiller »

Thirteen months to the day after getting my engine back together due to the stupid dipper falling off and snapping the connecting rod, it has happened again.

I have found a complete piston/rod/rings assembly and have searched in vain for this answer = are K301 and K301A pistons/rods interchangeable ?

This is the second failure I have had; and, a friend currently has three 129s sitting in his barn, all three with broken dippers; surely someone has designed a much more reliable rod cap/dipper or some other means of lubricating the piston.

Thanks for reading and all help is appreciated.
