Excited or What ?

Excited or What ?

Post by dag1450 »

I saw this first photo on ebay. I just though it was worth sharing.....cause i know thats how i feel sometimes. The second was me w my new rabbit cage...about 1980. I do think i took an extra couple laps around the front yard so everyone in the hood could see

 yea Mike....remember the Chuck Taylors. I lived in those for a few years. I think I started black low tops...then black high tops....then..r u ready...WHITE HIGH TOPS! Yea Baby!
I don't know if u can see dad made this 126 a two stick for the power angle blade. I remember watching him mount a valve body underneath somehow. I think he got most parts from his work in philly at the BUDD company. He would say the stuff he would pick out of the trash was amazing!

Hard to focus on the shoes with those kickin' lederhosen socks going on! I'll add PF Flyers to the list of '70s shoes...

Converse fish-heads were my favorite! What happened to the tractor, Dave?

Tom....your just jealous. ( "I'm sexy and I know it")
What were PF Fliers.....must have been a knock off brand that Toms mom said were better...and he still thinks so to this day
Ah Man... Probably mid 80s the 126 got traded for a POS CCC 1720 or something like that. We had that for a week and dad told them to come and pick it back up. Next stop....the dealer w all the bright orange tractors from over seas. They had the cuttest little diesel engines and man he fell hook line and sinker! ;)

Sounds like u had a pair Lew! Those shoes look good on the store shelf.....and that's where they will stay. Too rich for me....and I have seen a few grown men in these over the years. They kinda look like "hippies".... and that's not me.

Tom, you had PF Fliers, OMG those were top of the mark !
Nowadays if Dad put four kids on a garden tractor the neighbor would be on the phone calling the Division of Youth and Family services !
Don't point that BB gun at anyone- your gonna poke an eye out !
From what I recall nothing EVER happened :P

Ken, I only remember getting PF Fliers one time when I was real young. I vaguely remember they came with a toy in the box, so that's why I liked them!

If they were expensive, that's probably why I only had one pair ever, must have been on clearance! I spent most of my life in Converse fish-heads of some sort.

Yeah, somehow we all lived without all those restrictions. We did real daredevil stuff, like ride in the bed of a pick-up truck for the little league parade through town! Push lawn-mowers without a dead-man (still have one at my parent's, still use). Sometimes I was even out after dark, and still didn't die...
