I'm liking this forum more every day, thank you John T for pointing out the search box' to Ray for the icons on the left side of the screen, red means new new post. Now when the icons on the left show the writing moving what does that mean??. and once in a while one of those icons will have a red star on it?? thanks for explaning . John Glass

Hey guys,
I believe the scrolling text icon next to the post means that it's a "hot topic" and have a lot of replies?

I haven't figured out the star yet, at first I thought it might be "pinned" posts, meaning they stay at the top of the list, but I see some that have dropped down from inactivity. I went to phpBB website and searched and didn't come up with anything...

Ok,

From what i can figure out a star in the icon means u have a post in that topic
and arrow means it was moved from somewhere else
the one that looks like a lightbulb is a sticky
ok i think the moving writing means "hot" topic or more then one page of posts
i downloaded the imageset and it has names for all the icons.... just kinda kriptic
ill try to write something up and post it somewhere as faq or something
