Manual and Literature Uploads Here

Thank you to all the people wanting to help.
If you have a manual or literature of some sort to upload for us to use on the site (and share with no restrictions other than our standard terms) then this is the place to put it.
We will eventually get everything posted here organized into our new manual/brochure format here on the site.
Please, no posts other than uploads and a description if you like, we don't need to mix regular posting in here. Any post not containing an upload of some sort will be moved to the appropriate topic or deleted if it is not of earth shattering importance.
Thank you for your support :notworthy:

Just moving this ova here so i can find it when were ready

Below is what was originally posted on the old IH registry on converting from ignition coil ( Onan )to a magneto ignition ( Kohler Magnum ).

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Part number 725-1375, "relay" is an active Cub Cadet part used on many of the cyclops tractors and located near the voltage indicator on the battery tray

Relay for Mag Engine conversion.

I used an automotive relay that Travis had laying around his garage one day I was up there..a typical "here use this one" deal....it worked and was free, but I don't know where it came from, sorry.

Pins 85 and 86 are the low current switch loop, when current from the KT style ignition switch is applied, they close and in turn close the contacts on pins 30 and 87, the high current side of the relay....BUT 87 isn't used so they do nothing and the engine runs on the mag ignition. When current is removed from the low side of the relay, contacts 30 and 87 open, closing 30 and 87A (basically the high side toggles between 30/87 energized and 30/87A de-energized). So, if you ground 87A, when the current from the old KT style ignition switch is off, the relay opens and contacts 30 and 87A close on the "back-side" grounding out the mag and killing the engine.

Find a relay with continuity between 30 and 87A with no wires hooked up to it and you should be in the clear.

Caution!!!!!! Test the system with a test light or meter BEFORE hooking the mag to the relay (pin 30). No need to ruin a +$50 mag bacause something isn't wired right, and I'm told mags don't like 12v applied to the kill wire under certain situations.

According to Todd Markle, The NAPA # is AR204

Thanks to everyone who helped!
If the file is a duplicate of what I already put out there in the documents section, the best version gets posted.
I also have some stuff that folks sent me to get scanned yet, it'll get done, believe me, and thanks to you all as well.
From this point on, please check the Documents/Manuals section before posting here. This will always be open to folks who don't see something on the site but have a copy we can post.
Once again, there are no claims put on any of the material posted on the site other than you do not alter the literature and make it inaccurate or use it in a for profit manner.

Thanks!!

All of the files that were here are now uploaded and categorized!

Onward and upward....

Or was it onward through the fog.....

Does anyone have a current email for Jim Steele?
I have a document he wrote that I would like to get permission for.

We got more in the Info section on paints, tires, etc....
downloads.php?cat=5

More numbering info under the Serial/Document section...
downloads.php?cat=21

Don't forget the How To section...
downloads.php?cat=11

We need folks to create step by step repairs for our How To section.
Documented repairs with instructions and clear pictures
PTO rebuilds
Trunion repairs
Etc.
You can post them here or email them to me, I'll convert them to PDF and of course credit the author if you like.
Thanks folks

Scott, you're welcome to put a link to any of my How To's found here:

http://www.cubcadetman.com/content/inde ... &Itemid=53

or if you'd like to put any of them on this website with acknowledgment, I have no problem with that. I'd be willing to work with you on any of them that would be of interest. Be aware though that a lot of the stuff is just my idea and may or may not be according to Hoyle. This website is been very helpful to me and I don't mind repaying if I can.

Find the item you wish to upload on your computer. Either reply or start a topic. At the bottom of the window you type your post in you will find a couple tabs. One says options and the other upload attachment.
Select the upload attachment tab. Hit the browse button and navigate to the file you want to upload. Once you have it click the add the file button. Wait until you see another window open that says posted attachments, it will have the name of your file below it. You can place the file inline (best to put it on a single line by itself though) or just leave it as an attached file. There are a few limits.
1 - file has to be under 50 meg in size.
2 - file needs to be .pdf format. (.jpg if you're posting pictures)
3 - you can add up to 5 files in each message.
