Thank you

Post by vince_o »

Just wanna say thanks to all my friends and family here that have served our country in the service. With out you where would we be?

As our world seems to turn faster and faster, there are lots of WW2 vets leaving us every day. Take a min and say thanks on this Veterans Day, to any Vet you may know.

U.S. Navy 1975 -1978 then reserves to 1985, joined to see the world, never stationed out of the U.S. :dontknow: My kids have video games that are more sophisticated than what we trained pilots with back then. So I agree with Vince the world just seems to go faster and faster, is that what Big Jim means when he says "wisdom comes with age and sometimes age comes alone" :?: I've thanked a WWII vet and his wife, a Korean vet and a Viet Nam vet so far this week in person. I've still got some calls to make...
Thanks for the post Vince,
Jim

P.S. We went to the War Memorial in Sharon PA last weekend. It is very moving...

If your in that area its worth checking out. It is located one driveway East of the Kranyaks Christmas Toyland and about 3/4 mile East of Daffins Candy, Ryers shoes is probably within a mile on the same road. The whole town starts their Christmas lighting this weekend.

I can't drive through all those flags without tearing up...

USAF 1950-54 Join the AF and see TX. Things got worse when I went West to NM. stand in Mud with dust flying in your face. Got my electronic training as Radar Mechanic on B-36 tail radar guns.

US Army 1960-63 Kept the beer safe in Milwaukee for 2 years at a Niki site in the end of main street. Then I went to Thule Greeland(It's true there is a naked girl behind every tree) it seemed like a year but it was only one day and one night. While there during the Cuban Crisis we kept all the Eskimos from paddling there to help Castro.

Thanks for remembering the real heroes of those eras.
