OOOOOOOoooo the humiliation of it all!

Post by J Hayes »

Haven't been posting much because my 782 is down. been trying to mow in the dark ,but neighbors complain when they have to get up to go to work. SOOoooo I was forced to mow in the daylight today all the neighbors are still laughing. I went out on the back porch and saw a group standing staring and pointing at my house and chuckling. :? I know they have many deeres, one big Simplicity and another has a Koyote (Spelling ?) I am left with this loaner... OH well it isn't mine... Beats walkin I guess..

Jim , hence the argument for multiple cubs . ;)
If my 582 eats a belt or gets junk in the carb , I just hop on another cub to finish mowing , and repair the problem child when I get time . At any time I have 3 or 4 cubs set up for mower duty . My neighbor Bill has a 318 Deere and would love nothing more than to see me mow with a non cub mower .

I feel your pain .
I see a lot of cub cadets while going down the tracks , its a shame I can't pull over and ask about them .

You thought the pic was funny.? Now ya know what an elephant on a moped looks like .... when I was going to the left I tried to close my eyes and pretend I was proudly on my 782
I almost forgot how close the creek I was.

One thing for sure I won't give the guy that loaned it to me the 200.00 he wants for it, but I think he wants me to throw a rattle can paint job on it for the use of it..I told him I won't even wash it cause it may stop running.

Well, like you said "it's better than walking" Have you got anywhere with the 782 as to what really is wrong with it?

Still not seeing red yet, but it does have a heart worthy of a 782 after a flip.

Low hanging limbs .. no problem with a portable sunshade . without the 782 for some strange reason I fellt like I was going back into the horse and buggy days .

I had a Sears like that for my first garden tractor. Would have been the earlier silver version with a flat twin. The tractor itself was OK but the attachments were pure crap. Had to keep welding the deck and snow blade just about every year. Plus it ate deck spindles like crazy because they were pressed together and welded with no way to lube them. Guy I sold it to was using it to drive around town with a cart on the back because he lost his license to a DWI.
