Why is this website so dead???

This is just like the old coffee shop, which was like the old coffee shop down the street. Pull up a chair, sit down and enjoy some good discussions. Please, no political, religious or racial posts.

I'm still here...but here is not where I used to be, I miss the old days too, but we just keep moving on.

I've been a little busy the last few years going back to school, then we had some buildings at the farm and at home that needed a lot of TLC, so that took me away.

I still keep the mowers mowing, and tinker with an NF from time to time, but the fever, the real crazy enthusiasm has faded a little.

Ohio Plow Day however is still going, this will be our Ninth year!

I feel somewhat like AW.

Had a heck of a time getting my 782 running.. don't have or cant afford to get it in plowing condition , for lack of parts, equipment, and economy. I seem to have lost enthusiasm to pursue the idea , considering a breakdown would make me tractorless for the one I really enjoy doing just my lawn work.

I do have one other running , but an off brand to use for back up, not near the tractor the cub is, but it saves my legs, and hip that ache if I try to do much push mowing in my 1 acre yard.

I have appreciated all the help , and encouragement I did receive from many folks here.

I do continue to come in once in awhile , just to "read the mail"

For those that don't know about Image Blue Ribbons. They started when the IH Registry just started because the other site IH Cub Cadet became known as "The site Across the Street" where they actually started useing the First, Second(red ribbon), TURD or yellow ribbon, Image and finally Image banned them and people that used them so the IH registry allowed them. Everyone tried to be the first to answer a post. Dave how about adding them to our smilies.

Lets see who can get he most BLUE RIBBONS

Thanks guys, that makes it much easier to contribute!

What did I do that was childish? Tony was the one that set my boots on fire, Tony Randy and Jerry were the ones that broke into Westfalls trailer and threw me into the road, Tony was the one that road the whole ft allen show in reverse. It was Seth, Pat, and Matt that put SKOTS truck up on blocks. Timmy Dusty and Cal took SKOTS tractor apart, ok so I drained the gas

I was certainly not directing my comment at anyone in particular, just the practice of using them. Shortly after this forum was up and running the discussion of ribbons was brought up for members to comment on and I thought the majority were against using them. Anyway I was merely voicing my opinion on them. Anyone who wants to use them, go ahead, it really doesn't matter what I think and you will not hear anymore from me on the subject.

I don't care one way or another whether we combine the topics. The way I view the forums it doesn't really matter. I have found years ago that the best way for me to keep up with all the new posts is to use the "view active topics" feature. That basically gives you all the threads that have been recently posted on regardless of what topic they are in. For me, that is the quickest way to see all the new posts using the least amount of time.

Makes me even more thankful that the administration of this forum is receptive to making positive changes rather than shutting her down.
I think it's interesting how it is mentioned that morale on that forum was low, and that they never meant to be the friendliest place on the web.
I was never a member there, but hate to see that people who rely on it may not have it anymore. I know I was out of sorts for a while when the old forum went down.

Hey guys...since it's been awhile since I've been on, it's been interesting to see so many responses to this post. As for me, I've actually sold all of my Cub Cadets except for my 982/loader, my 782D, my 4-digit O and Cory's 123. It was for a couple of reasons. First, trying to maintain upwards of 10-12 running Cub Cadets was getting way too time consuming. It also got to the point I could only afford to keep what I needed, not so much what I wanted.

As Vince so correctly stated, I'm also into the bigger IH line now and enjoy playing with them too. Well, was them, now just one of those too! Cory originally wanted to try big tractor pulling, so a few years ago, we got a Farmall C, which turned into getting an H for me to pull with. Then we got an M because he wanted to pull bigger classes. Since then, he hasn't had the interest in the Cub Cadets, and now doesn't have the interest in the big tractors either!!!! So, down the road the C and the H went, and I still pull the M about 10 times a year.

Anyway, I still enjoy the plow days, and don't need nearly as much help with my CC's as I used to. I do check in from time to time, but haven't had nearly as much time to check in either. I will do my part to try and jump in more often, as I have met and gotten to know many great people from this site.

I'd hardly consider the forum across the street a failure and do hope their issues can be resolved. As with any internet group discussion everyone is entitled to their opinion and often times folks can get pretty staunch about theirs. It's supposed to be a hobby, excepting those among us seeking to turn a profit of course
While I'm not a member of that group I do hope that they open back up and wish them the best regarding solving any internal issues among their members.
Quite a few guys signed on as members over there also belong to this group as well- perhaps they should come back on over and help share with posting a bit

Hey Mods... on one of the other forums I am on it has the last 10 posts and threads at the top of the page. It makes seeing what is going on a lot easier and you can just click on whatever topic is at the top. Can we add that here??

BB,
If you click on the "view active topics" button it will give you that and it is more than 10, it is like three pages in decending order.
