Damn that is a straight looking truck. Those single-cab K30s are real workshorses. I'd have preferred the stouter 454 or even the 6.2 diesel but the 350 will do what it needs to do. Looks to be a (neutered) dually too. Have fun with those big rear drums... They are friggen HEAVY (ask me how I know). Oh one thing - keep an eye on the frame up around the steering box - they like to crack up there.

So lets hear some info! What gearing? Hydroboost? Lets seem some more pics!!!!

And you are sure its a K30 and not an old military model?

To be honest I was told what the truck had in it from a friend. 205 trans case, sm465 tranny with granny, and 20gallon fuel tanks it has a cheufer (that's what it sounds like) brand gear driven pro and pump. 6 brand new tires and also a HUGE master cylinder. No vacuum boost but I was looking at lift kits today and it's 500$ for a 6 inch which is awesome I want to model the truck after this one in the pic. And I am paying for the thing tomorrow. The k10 is going for scrap but the powertrain and engine he's keeping. I have doors fenders tailgate with lenses and hood. Things I know the k30 need are a set of headers as the manifolds are warped and it makes that famous ticking exhaust nous but other than that the truck is ready to drive. All new brakes 2 years ago(hasn't been driven in 2 years) 8-)
and new lines are being put on as I speak

Yeah Dave but I'm using most of the good parts on the truck on mine and the only thing that is going is cab and frame

One of my favorite trucks was a 1981 Chevy step side that I owned about 15 years ago. I restored it including a new wood bed. It had a strange setup for the manifolds, It was a six with one piece intake exhaust manifold. That little engine ran and ran. Wish I had it today. Wife was driving it around one day and a guy pulled up and offered to buy it.... That was the last I saw it.

I f d up dag1450 I was coming out of my driveway and the thing started to slide. All of the sudden I corrected it and then I came around and couldn't spin the wheel fast enough. Over corrected into the tree in our yard
