I really enjoyed his posts years ago. Quite a Cub enthusiast. It is sad people disappear from here and most of us never learn what happened to them. I do hope someone knows the story on Don.

Don R disappeared when the registry disappeared. He built some very nice tractors.

I vaguely remember seeing a post when his stuff was being sold. I think he had to go to a nursing home. Not sure of this as my memory is not what it was.

Charlie, I think you are remembering correctly. I believe they held an auction to sell his Cub stuff. As far as the nursing home, I'm not sure, but I think I remember him not getting around quite so well anymore.

I agree he was having Issues getting around and auctioned off this toys to go to a nursing home. I tried googling his name for a obituary and couldn't find one, so I'm guessing he's at a home someplace playing checkers! To bad we couldn't get someone to check in on him for us....

I agree. Don was/is quite the character.

I just talked to Don and Carol and they are doing good.They are still on their place way back in the hills of Howard near Lockhaven .They both drive buss every day and still hard working people......
