Avatar, Avatar, Avatar!

Post by Tom Scott »

I finally made myself create an avatar. I had gotten hung up on finding that "one" perfect picture. It must not exist...so I just chose one from my latest Brinly box scraper project; really liked that project, so there it is.

No dag, you've been a chump like me! You should make an avatar now! I used "Paint" to resize the picture to less than the required 120 x 120 pixels, and then cropped further to get under the 8 kilobyte requirement. A bit of a hassle at first, but easy enough with some trial and error.

I might rotate through some pics throughout the year. Just didn't want a snow pic, I'd rather think about warm weather!

Steve, certainly can't complain about the temps we've had, but December isn't historically the month to worry about. It's January and February that usually bring all the ugliness, with the occasional March hit.

Just another typical year where I'm behind; 1872 with dozer blade has hydro leak I will hopefully dig into today, and the blower has yet to replace the mower deck on 2182-2.

I actually like maybe one decent snow to do battle with each year, but otherwise it is just a hassle. So, although we had a warm December, we could still get slammed this year at some point. It ain't over til it's over!

I've said the same thing myself, as warm as it's been so far I am fully expecting to get rocked sometime in the next 2 months. We're going to pay for it! I'll hopefully have a snowblower for the 3240 at the end of the week, then looking to put a snowblade on the 1772. Either way, I will be able to move snow!!!

"Necessity is the mother of invention" for sure! Most years I am "not ready", then the forecast threatens, and I end up ready! So, with the warm temps, I haven't had the sense of urgency I should. I am glad it looks like all the rain is done for awhile, that was making the warm a little less enjoyable. Was getting tired of wiping dog feet!

You "fully expect us to get rocked" sometime in the next two months because most years we do! Our area is weird with its own winter weather, apart from the flat-lander's south of us; just one of the joys of living in the Hereford Zone...

I'm ready for the most part, but will be changing things up, as is usual! Seems like every year I wind up with different tractors with plows and blowers on them! lol Always gotta be ready in the Hereford Zone....it's amazing what a difference and handful of miles makes!

I'm with both of you guys, I was going to let the 2" we got mid week melt off after 36 hours and still no melt I put the blade on the 1810. Good thing I did it would still be there! I e still got to put the chains on before snow but this year a 1810 with 54" blade will be the cub of choice....

I think your son did a wonderful job resizing the pic for pixel density and total bytes... because I know you didn't do it!
But, looks good! Nice job.
