Thanks Dave.
Boom and bucket is Johnson. Stanchions are copies of the originals.
Pump is PTO driven although I never shut it off.

Re: My latest project
The only thing I did to the Johnson for the 149 was pull it all from the scrap pile at the Cub dealer then make the stanchions and pump mount. The boom and bucket are all original as were the original stanchions. It was made for a 147nand I didn't want to modify them so I copied them for the 149 and hung the originals in the barn until AW needed them.
The loader on the Ford is a Massey Ferguson. I had to make the front mount, rebuild the boom cylinders, have the spools for the valve repaired and build the bucket and mounts. I would have been better off waiting to find a Ford loader but could not see that logic at the time I started.
The cutting edge came from a local supplier. I ordered the steel and had a customer shear and brake the pieces.

Re: My latest project
Ground speed is controlled by a hydraulically operated Reeves drive. Of course being it’s a 1963 model the drive sheave is no longer supported and then I found this,
Now to put it back together and install it on the engine and get the damned thing outside and USE it.
But being part of a group very similar to this one I was able to secure a good used sheave. Now to put it back together and install it on the engine and get the damned thing outside and USE it.

Their Dag?......my fine fellow there can only be one Dag!
Toms head would explode if there were two Dags
It's pretty cool, the FB group has a relatives(son/nephew?) of the Keller brothers that came up with the original design and are still involved as far as restorations and selling NOS and used parts.

Re: My latest project
BM, very cool project. In the perfect world, dag would live across the street from you and I as he would insist on painting everything! It would make him crazy to see something like that in need of paint, he would just come and do it for you.
Of course the down side is, he does too good of a job; dag would completely disassemble everything you just put together to "paint it correctly"! You'd get to use it five years from now...
Very nice, keep sharing pics!

Yes Mike.. your project looks great and we are waiting for more... and thanks for the kind words Tom. Yes I love painting....but I'm finding out the putting back together is not one of my strengths. I try to set goals...but still not working. Maybe I should stop replying to all the darts and daggers being thrown around... and I might have lots of extra time. Yeah that's my only problem!

Re: My latest project
No dag you just need to find someone who "completes you" A friend of mine found someone like that, he loves to tear things apart, repair and paint them, then loses interest as "the works done" He found a friend who hates working with rusty greasy crap but who loves putting together nice clean puzzles. Seems to be working as he's managed to clean out about 10 project vehicles and tractors in about 2 years. Most have been laying in boxes for 10-15 years...

Re: My latest project
Dag, I watched that just before I saw your post.
I am really close to being able to actually use my rusty old bitch, I just need SWMBO to give me a little time in the shop.
I really want to start in on the newer unit I bought. I have not worked on a Command before but think it will be much easier than the Onan.

Very nice. With all those white "accent" pieces I can't tell if the machine is new or old? Again good job on confusing me.
